======How To Share Files======


Research is a collaborative endeavour and you will likely want to share your files on the cluster with a colleague at some time during your project.  This How-To describes how to use the standard Linux file permissions to:

  * share files in a sub-directory within your home directory or your Lustre work directory, or
  * share files within a research project using the PI's shared directory on Lustre

with other //cluster users//.

This guide does **not** cover how to share files across the Internet.
