How To Share Files

Research is a collaborative endeavour and you will likely want to share your files on the cluster with a colleague at some time during your project. This How-To describes how to use the standard Linux file permissions to:

• share files in a sub-directory within your home directory or your Lustre work directory, or
• share files within a research project using the PI's shared directory on Lustre

with other cluster users.

This guide does not cover how to share files across the Internet.
