1. Connect to the CHPC cluster

ssh -X userid@lengau.chpc.ac.za 

On the LENGAU cluster you cannot manipulate large files or perform calculations using software applications directly on the login node. You need to request for an interactive PBS session so that a compute node be reserved for your personal use, see How To Guides.

2. Set up the appropriate system environment for WRF.

Source the setWRF script. Note that this compilation uses the Intel Compiler with OpenMP.

3. Build WRF Libraries

Before getting started, you need to create a directory where the Libraries will be stored

mkdir LIBRARIES
